What if your driver's license expired between February 24th? The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports that certificates issued for the first time continue to be valid on the territory of Ukraine.

Pay attention! Rights cannot be exchanged before their expiration date. Those who decide to exchange a driver's license should remember that the document can be exchanged for the first time only after its validity period has expired (the next day or later). To do this, contact the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine or the center for the provision of administrative services.

If you decide to exchange your driver's license, you should remember the following points:

Until the end of martial law, a medical certificate is not required for the exchange of rights. Rights can be exchanged only by their owner.

Necessary documents:

• Passport of a citizen of Ukraine;

• Identification code;

• Expired driver's license.

You can submit an application for the exchange of driver's licenses in person at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or through an electronic application on the Diia portal.

We will remind you! In Ukraine, from December 14, it will be possible to register a car or issue a driver's license without using plastic forms. According to the changes, in the near future it will not be mandatory to receive plastic forms of documents on the right to drive vehicles and on vehicle registration. More details at the link.
