In Dublin, 800 euros will be paid for the accommodation of Ukrainian refugees: how to get it
Table of Contents
Dublin local authorities are looking for vacant houses to house Ukrainian refugees, offering landlords a reward. About 60,000 Ukrainians fleeing the war are currently registered in Ireland, and the country suffers from an acute shortage of affordable housing.
In October, the government announced that it would no longer be able to guarantee the accommodation of all Ukrainians arriving in the country, as refugee reception centers and temporary accommodation facilities are full.
So the Dublin authorities are looking for a solution to the housing problem. Owners of holiday homes or other habitable properties are being offered €800 in monthly payments from 1 December.
How to get payment for accommodation of Ukrainian refugees in Dublin?
To participate in the program, property owners can apply to their local councils or to a special website. The authority will carry out an assessment of the property to ensure that the accommodation is fit for habitation. After that, the selection of residents will begin.
