The algorithm for processing documents in Ukraine is quite simple: sign up for an electronic queue, personally provide the necessary data, make a payment and pick up the prepared documents at the specified time.

In this material, we will tell what to do to people who did not have time to pick up their finished documents by the specified deadline.

How many ready-made documents are stored in the Administrative Services Center and Passport Service centers?

• Foreign passport of a citizen of Ukraine - 1 month;

• ID card - 3 months.

After the specified term comes to an end, the finished document is transferred to the territorial subdivisions and departments of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.

These terms are the same both when processing documents at the Administrative Services Center and at the Passport Service. However, it is also noted that when a foreign passport and an ID card are issued at the same time in the "Passport Service" - a separate unit on the territory of Europe, both documents will be stored there for 3 months. After the 3 months are over, the completed documents together with the questionnaire and the attached data will be stored in the appropriate unit of the State Migration Service on the territory of Ukraine.

How long are prepared documents of Ukrainian citizens kept in the divisions of the State Migration Service?

After the ID card or passport is transferred to the unit of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, they can be stored there for another 2 years. Please note that citizens who are unable to pick up documents within the specified period can apply for an extension of the document storage period up to 3 years.

In addition, it is noted that due to the state of war and a number of restrictions due to the coronavirus, there is currently no exact period of storage of documents of citizens of Ukraine in the units of the State Migration Service.

How to get in the electronic queue for processing documents?

On the website of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, citizens can join an electronic queue, pay for services online, track the status of documents, etc.

You can stand in line for processing documents at the "Passport service" - a separate division in Europe here.

We will remind you! Detailed instructions on how to check the status of the production of a foreign passport follow the link.
