Starting March 26, the curfew in Kyiv will be reduced. From now on, restrictions on the movement of citizens will be in effect from 00:00 to 05:00. Read more about what changes residents of the capital can expect below.

Amid the curfew reduction, the operation of ground transportation, the subway, shops and establishments in Kyiv will also change.

The city authorities explained that they took this step against the backdrop of a minimal threat of hostilities in the capital. Thus, the new rules will increase public transportation time for the convenience of Kyiv residents and visitors, as well as help reduce social tension.

How will shops and establishments work?

According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, shops and other outlets will now be open one hour longer

However, despite the continued operation of underground and surface public transport, as well as shops, shopping centers and restaurants, the time for employees to get home before the curfew will be taken into account.

Currently, on average, establishments and shops in the capital are open until 21:00. We can assume that their work will continue until 22:00.

As for the sale of alcoholic beverages, the sale of such goods is now allowed from 11:00 to 21:00.

Will the subway work change?

The Kyiv subway will also work one hour longer. Subway operation by branches:

• Red line - the last train will arrive at the end stations "Lesnaya" and "Akademgorodok" at 23:08.

• Blue line - the last train will arrive at the end stations "Heroiv Dnipra" and "Teremky" at 23:05.

• Green line - the last train will arrive at the Syrets terminal station at 23:06 and at the Chervony Khutor station at 23:13.

It is worth reminding you that during the air raid all underground metro stations operate in the shelter mode around the clock.

What restrictions apply during the curfew?

The curfew in the Ukrainian regions was introduced after the martial law due to the full-scale invasion of russia.

According to the rules, it is forbidden to be on the streets and other public places during the set time (each city has its own). An exception may be made, in particular, for employees of critical infrastructure facilities (but only if they have a special pass).

In the event of an air raid during the curfew, citizens are allowed to move down the street to a shelter.

We remind you! For more information on how the curfew works in different regions of Ukraine, please follow the link. The information is being updated.
