The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution which facilitates the process of Ukrainian servicemen going abroad for medical treatment. This is reported by the Ministry of Health.

New rules for military personnel to travel abroad for treatment. What is known?

From now on a medical institution, where a military man is under treatment, will independently form a conclusion on the need for referral for treatment abroad and send a package of documents to the appropriate state body, which is part of the security and defense sector.

Thus, a conclusion on the necessity of sending a military man for treatment abroad will be made without the consilium of the military medical institution.

As noted by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal during a government meeting, this is an essential step so that defenders of Ukraine could receive the necessary treatment or rehabilitation abroad in the shortest possible time, without unnecessary bureaucratic procedures.

"One of the priorities of the government is the reform of medical and social expert commissions and military medical commissions. Today, we are passing a resolution to simplify the departure of our wounded fighters for treatment abroad. From now on, they will be able to receive such a referral in the medical facility where they are undergoing treatment or rehabilitation. No delays, no queues, no bureaucracy", - he stressed.

We remind you! Despite the martial law in Ukraine, men of military age manage to cross the border illegally. Read more about the penalties for illegal travel and whether violators can be imprisoned in our material.
