Friendship is a great value in the life of every person. Finding a true friend is quite difficult, it is even more difficult not to lose this relationship. In order to remind people about the importance of friends, a warm holiday was created - Friends Day.
It is celebrated on June 9 every year. Although the holiday is unofficial, this day is celebrated in many countries around the world.
History and traditions of the unofficial day of friends
Friends Day was first celebrated in the USA in 1935. Since then, once a year it is customary to remind your friends how important they are to you. Since Friends Day is a summer holiday, many people go out with friends on this day, have picnics, or friends gather together in coffee shops or bars.
People try to dedicate this day to friends and relatives who will always support and not leave them in trouble. On this bright and kind day, it is customary to please each other with warm words of love and support.
On Friends Day, we should not forget about our little friends - animals, because the furry ones give us their boundless love. Animals are our defenseless friends that we must take care of and protect.
As a result of the terrorist attack on the Kakhovska Dam, which the russian army staged on the night of June 6, a large part of the territories of the Kherson region was flooded. Many people lost their homes, defenseless animals were also in danger.
