Earlier, we wrote that despite the silence around the counteroffensive, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that Ukraine had launched an operation to liberate the occupied territories. In addition, the first news about the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in certain areas of the frontline and the liberation of several settlements appeared in the information field. Let's find out from which territories the occupiers have already been driven out and what the map of hostilities looks like today.

At the same time, the russian side does not recognize the forced retreat at the front, and is doing its best to downplay the success of the Ukrainian army, claiming that there is no offensive and that the Ukrainian army has only entered some "gray zones." In addition, russian propagandists eloquently talk about how they repelled all attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) confirms the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk and Tauride areas. Military experts also speculate on the reaction of the russian authorities to Ukraine's success. According to them, russia is trying to hide the breakthrough of Ukrainian forces to prevent panic among the population.

Redeployment of troops: change of tactics and the second dam blowing up in Ukraine

On June 11, it became known that the russians blew up the dam for the second time, but this time in the area of Novodarivka to stop the Ukrainian offensive. According to the spokesman for the Tauride Defense Forces, Valery Shershen, the explosion flooded both banks of the Mokry Yaly River. The russian authorities, as usual, deny this information.

In addition, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyar noted in her daily report that after the disaster in southern Ukraine, russia is actively redeploying forces from Kherson region to the Tavriya and Bakhmut directions. This indicates that russia is trying to change its defense tactics, but so far it has not succeeded.
