For Ukrainians, a good foreign vacation consists of several criteria: quality service, beautiful nature, a delicious buffet, and the absence of citizens of the aggressor country. Here's where Ukrainians can spend a relaxing vacation this year
Summer is already in full swing, which means that Ukrainians are actively choosing a place for a well-deserved vacation. In light of the aggressive war waged by russia against Ukraine, citizens are trying to find resorts where they can relax without russians. We will tell you where to enjoy your vacation in the summer of 2023, minimizing the likelihood of meeting citizens of the aggressor country.
Turkey
Unfortunately, the Turkish resort has always been popular among citizens of the aggressor country, so the number of russian vacationers in Turkey is sufficient. However, there are cities in this country where there are not so many russian citizens. For example, the resorts on the Aegean coast are less attractive to russians, as the sea is cooler in this part, the bottom is rocky, and the measured atmosphere and picturesque bays attract mostly Europeans.
However, russian airlines have decided to send charters to this part of Turkey this year, so their number may increase.
Europeans usually vacation in cities such as:
- Side, Cesme and Kusadasi (English and Germans);
- Kemer (Dutch, Italians and Germans);
- Marmaris and Oludeniz (English).
It is also important to recall that last year some hotels refused to accept russians.

Egypt
In 2023, russians will be offered Egypt as an alternative to Turkey, where prices have now gone up. russian tour operators are planning to launch new flights to Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada.
However, according to local travel portals, some resorts have virtually no russians. For example, in Hurghada and Marsa Alam, tourists from Poland and Germany have taken their place.
It's worth noting that even before the war, Marsa Alam was considered one of the most popular resorts among Ukrainians, largely due to the absence of russians.
In any case, it is important to remember that before any trip abroad, you need to think about your safety. If you are planning a trip, you should take care of insurance. You can find the appropriate insurance here.
Other countries
Although some European countries have banned russian tourists from entering the country, some of them actively issue Schengen visas to them, such as Spain and Greece.
A significant number of European resort countries have also made it more difficult to issue visas to russians by requiring foreign insurance.
Direct flights overseas to the Dominican Republic and Mexico remain unavailable to russians. Tourists will be able to get there on regular flights with many connections, which will attract few people compared to flights to the Maldives and Thailand.
We remind you! Ukraine has many places for summer vacation, the beauty of which is breathtaking. Unfortunately, due to the war, the most popular Ukrainian summer resorts are currently inaccessible. In this article, we have collected the best places for summer vacation in Ukraine in 2023.
