Polish Railways will begin planned infrastructure repairs in Przemyśl in early September. This will cause temporary changes in the train schedule. Find out more about the new trains planned and the schedule
Starting September 8, the Polish railroad plans to carry out regular repairs to its infrastructure. This initiative will affect the operation of passenger trains between Ukraine and Przemyśl.
According to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia, this will lead to the cancellation of some trains on the route from Ukraine to Przemyśl until October 6. At the same time, an additional flight to Chełm will be established.
Cancellation of some trains to Przemyśl: details
Starting from September 8, Polish Railways took into account the planned repair work in the Przemyśl area. This could have resulted in the suspension of all rail traffic in this direction. However, thanks to joint work with Polish colleagues, it was possible to minimize the negative impact of these repairs on train traffic.
In particular, UZ reports the following changes:
- From September 7 to October 6, trains #89/90 Kyiv - Przemyśl and #73/74 Kharkiv - Przemyśl will be suspended.
- Starting September 3, a new daily train 119/120 Kyiv - Chełm will be added. This will be the third train per day to the popular Chełm. This flight will be convenient for those traveling from Kyiv to Frederic Chopin Airport after 23:00 or early in the morning, including destinations to Cairo, Ostrava, Munich, Paris, Frankfurt, and Vienna.

- During the "month of repairs" in Poland (September 7-8, 14-15, 21-22), only two Intercity+ trains will operate on Fridays and Saturdays: the existing #705/706 Kyiv - Przemyśl and the new #707/708 Kyiv - Przemyśl.
- The schedule of trains No. 54 and No. 36 will be changed in September due to repair works. For example, #54 Przemyśl - Kyiv will depart from Przemyśl at 13:45 and arrive in Kyiv at 05:34.
Although the repair work may cause temporary difficulties for passengers, Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized that the number of available seats for travel to Poland in September will increase by about 100 due to the introduction of a new flight to Chełm. Additional flights to Przemysl will be confirmed after the completion of repair work in October, which, if successful, will lead to an increase in available seats by 10%.
Please note! Train tickets to Poland are sold in advance (20 days in advance), and new dates become available at 08:00 am (09:00 for Warsaw).
