Where is the best place to live and work in Europe?

According to the European Commission's report on the quality of life in European cities, the largest number of people satisfied with their work and life is concentrated in cities in six European countries. At the same time, the top ten cities include four German cities and three capitals.

To compile the rating, experts interviewed city residents. And on average, about 74% of Europeans surveyed said they were satisfied with their jobs. Thus, the top ten best cities in Europe for living and working are:

1. Rostock (Germany) - 85%;

2. Luxembourg (Luxembourg) - 84%;

3. Reykjavik (Iceland) - 84%;

4. Geneva (Switzerland) - 83%;

5. Dortmund (Germany) - 83%;

6. Berlin (Germany) - 83%;

7. Zurich (Switzerland) - 82%;

8. Aalborg (Denmark) - 82%;

9. Malmö (Sweden) - 82%;

10. Hamburg (Germany) - 81%.

At the same time, respondents noted that there are more job opportunities and better working conditions in European capitals and large cities. Therefore, the level of well-being and the labor market are more stable and attractive to people here. Thus, the highest level of satisfaction was recorded in the cities of Germany, Denmark, Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
