Russians who do not plan to change their lives in their own country but dream of a more comfortable and prosperous existence have been choosing Turkey as their temporary home. However, as of February 2024, this situation is beginning to change. According to russian media, Turkey suddenly stops accepting russians, Zakordon 24 reports.

Refusal to issue permanent residence permits

The Turkish government suddenly stops issuing permanent residence permits to russians. In addition, long-term foreigners who have been living in the country for a long time are subjected to scrutiny.

Reactions of russians and locals

Russians are expressing outrage and shock over these new restrictions. Over the last period of time, about 40 thousand citizens of the aggressor country have been forced to leave Turkey.

They even threaten Antalya, a city that was previously considered the most "russian" in Turkey, with the possibility of losing its status. There is a real risk that this could have a serious impact on the city's economy, which until now has been ranked fourth in the world in terms of the number of tourists.

In addition, on various websites, russians are trying to sell as quickly as possible what they have previously purchased for living in Turkey. In particular, we are talking about TVs, washing machines, dishwashers, etc.

Meanwhile, locals have long been tired of the russian invasion. They note that inflation is rising in the country and food prices are rising several times due to the arrival of russians. Therefore, when the russians leave, the locals hope to return to a more favorable life.

We remind you! Suspicions of russian espionage against Ireland are growing as the Irish government has decided to stop issuing new visas to russian diplomats. Find out more about why tighter control over the issuance of visas for russian citizens has become a necessary measure to protect national security and ensure the interests of the state here.
