From now on, trains in Poland will run faster: details
Thus, the trip to the ski resort of Zakopane will now take an hour less - only 4 hours and 44 minutes. The fastest trip from Krakow to Zakopane will be reduced to 2 hours and 17 minutes from the current 2 hours and 26 minutes.
The travel time between Warsaw and Gdansk, as well as between Warsaw and Poznan, will be reduced to 2 hours and 29 minutes. It will take 1 hour 45 minutes to get from Lublin to Warsaw, and 2 hours 56 minutes to get from Bydgoszcz to Warsaw.
Representatives of the local railways PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe note that such significant improvements were made possible by the completion of construction work on the so-called Kartuza Bypass, which will now be used by six pairs of trains daily. The new schedule will be valid until June 9, 2024.
Please note! Despite the fact that the railway connection between Poland and Ukraine is operating on a regular schedule, some passengers who travel to the stations by car or bus complain about problems with travel due to road blocking by activists.
We remind you, new Wizz Air routes from Hungary will be launched this summer. Find out which countries will be served and where to buy tickets on favourable terms here.
