Cars with Ukrainian license plates will no longer be able to refuel in Hungary at prices fixed by the government. Instead, from May 27, cars with foreign license plates will be able to buy fuel only at retail prices that are much higher than the fixed ones.
Such measures were introduced by the Hungarian government in response to the "petrol tourism" of Ukrainian dealers who bought fuel en masse in Hungary and then resold it at home.
The official price of fuel at Hungarian gas stations is 480 forints per liter (about 40 hryvnias). From now on, these prices will apply only to cars with Hungarian registration.
From today, Ukrainians will be able to refuel at the retail price - 661 forints per liter of gasoline (about 54 hryvnias) and 679 forints per liter of diesel (about 56 hryvnias).
We will remind, earlier Hungary simplified conditions of employment for Ukrainians.
