Cash assistance to displaced persons: how to get 2,200 hryvnias from the Estonian Refugee Council
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Estonia has been actively accepting refugees from Ukraine and providing them with all the necessary assistance. So far, more than 60,000 Ukrainians have found temporary shelter in Estonia. But the country does not stop and continues to help the displaced.
Today, every Ukrainian who suffered as a result of the war has the right to receive financial assistance from the Estonian Refugee Council. We tell you what is needed for this.
Who can count on financial aid from Estonia?
Immigrants or residents from the following areas can receive assistance:
• Donetsk region;
• Luhansk region;
• Kharkiv region;
• Mykolaiv region;
• Odesa region;
• Zaporizhzhia region;
• Kyiv region;
• Sumy region;
• Chernihiv region.
What is the amount of financial aid?
Cash assistance in the amount of 2,200 hryvnias is calculated for each family member, but not more than 5 people. The allowance will be paid once a month for 3 months. The first payment can be received already 5 days after the application is made.
Who will be given priority in the payment of cash assistance?
• persons whose civilian family members were injured as a result of military actions;
• people whose homes were partially or completely destroyed;
• single parents with two or more children;
• families in which there are people with disabilities or people who need treatment;
• persons living in the occupied territories;
• low-income citizens or those who have lost their jobs.
How to apply for financial assistance from Estonia?
You can apply for cash assistance by calling (067) 105 28 03 every day from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. People who currently live in the occupied territories can apply on the website.
