Recently, it became known that, according to an agreement between the governments, it is now possible to exchange a Ukrainian driving licence in Lithuania under a simplified procedure.

Exchange of a driving licence in Lithuania: what is known 


The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced in his telegram channel that from now on, it is possible to replace a Ukrainian driving licence in Lithuania quickly and effortlessly. The relevant resolution was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on 5 May. 


It is also noted that from now on, there will be no need to pass theoretical and practical driving tests. 


What documents are required to exchange a driving licence in Lithuania?


  • A document proving permanent residence in the country;
  • the original driving licence;
  • a valid medical certificate.
