From March 29, 2022, the Israeli Population and Immigration Administration introduces a "green track" for Ukrainian refugees working in Israeli technology companies, regardless of whether they have the right to immigrate to Israel under the Repatriation Act. Under this project, the process of verifying biographical data and issuing work permits will be accelerated and will take up to 4 days. The project will involve Ukrainian refugees hired by Israeli IT companies who have arrived in Israel or work remotely, and to refugees recently hired by such companies. To do this, the company must request permission for its employee through the form.
For those not covered by the Repatriation Act, the green track will offer entry permits and temporary work permits for 4 days. If a refugee and the IT company that hired him or her apply for an extension of employment for more than 90 days, each case will be considered on the merits by the Office of Population and Immigration Affairs. Family members will also be able to work in Israel if the employee plans to stay in Israel for more than 90 days.
