Google has presented the most popular search queries among Ukrainians, reflecting the current and popular topics of this year. Find out more about what Ukrainians googled most often
At the end of the year, Google traditionally presented a report on the most popular queries that Ukrainians googled most often, as well as the topics that were of the greatest interest during the year.
What was searched on Google in Ukraine in 2023?
The query "Air Alert Map" is the most popular, which indicates the relevance of security issues during the war.
The second place in the ranking is occupied by the query "Blackout schedule", indicating the importance of information about energy supply for users.
The third place is occupied by the query "Prigozhin", which probably indicates an increased interest in the personality or events related to this figure.
Other trending queries of the year included "Deep State", "Israel" and "Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant".
The leader in the rating of "Persons to whom interest grew the most" was the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. In addition, such personalities as Spartak Subbota, Oleksandr Usyk, Kyrylo Budanov and Iryna Farion aroused interest.
In the field of cinema and television, Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer proved to be the most interesting for Ukrainians. It is followed by such films as Avatar 2: The Waterway, Ukrainian animation Mavka, Barbie, and the Ukrainian tragicomedy Luxembourg, Luxembourg by Antonio Lukic.
In the "Purchase of the Year" section, Ukrainians showed increased interest in purchasing potassium iodide, and also expressed interest in "generator," "online tickets for Ukrzaliznytsia," "new iPhone model," and "overbank."
As for questions from the "What is?" category, Ukrainians explored the concepts of "hepatitis A," "Hamas," and "REB," showing interest in medical aspects and political world events. Ukrainians also searched for the meaning of the words "Redan", "Makeba" and "IPSO".
All of the above is only a part of the 2023 query ranking, which shows the current topics and popularity of specific issues among Ukrainian users.
