Ukrainians will be able to get apartments in Estonia: details

In the city of Sillamäe, 11 municipal apartments for refugees from Ukraine have been arranged with government support. The lease agreement stipulates that the local authorities provide this housing to Ukrainians, and there will be no restrictions on the lease term after that.

"The city allocates an apartment to the refugees and they have to pay for utilities, and the city has to pay a certain amount of rent," said local official Allen Allet.

Olga Poghosyan, one of the refugees who arrived in Estonia with her daughter, shared her impressions: "We moved into a new, comfortable two-room apartment with all the necessary amenities. The rent for this apartment was much more favorable than that of private owners."

Earlier it was announced the intention to renovate 243 apartments for Ukrainian refugees in 53 local communities in Estonia for the amount of almost 3.3 million euros. It is emphasized that such a program helps to improve the living conditions of Ukrainians.

We remind you! Earlier, we wrote that Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic may have to fulfill a number of conditions in order to stay in the country for a longer period of time. To do this, the country's authorities want to launch a special system. Find out what exactly it is about and at what stage the potential innovations are.
