Attacks on the critical infrastructure of Ukraine by the occupiers continue. In connection with this, peaceful citizens suffer, who have to sit around the clock without electricity and water, waiting for another miracle from energy specialists. Against the background of the "dark" days, Ukrainians began stocking up on generators en masse, but not everyone knows how to use them correctly and safely to protect themselves and their homes from trouble.

❗️ Rescuers of the State Emergency Service call for the use of this equipment, strictly following the safety rules, and in no case do not allow children to use generators.

Basic rules when using generators:

• Use this appliance outdoors at a distance of at least 6 meters from windows, doors and garages.

• Buy certified products only at licensed sales points. Follow the instructions.

• Keep dry. Do not use in conditions of high humidity.

• Cool periodically.

• Do not keep gasoline supplies nearby.

• Install a carbon monoxide detector.

• It is forbidden to combine generators in a chain.

• It is forbidden to connect gasoline generators to the outlet.

It is worth noting that recently a resident of the Kyiv region died precisely because of a violation of the rules for operating a generator.

We will remind you! Previously, we wrote how to distinguish emergency, planned and emergency blackouts and what is the difference between them. They also recently talked about how to insulate the house, what to stock up on in case of a blackout, and what steps will save electricity.
