Public transportation has risen in price in Berlin and Brandenburg: new prices
Since the beginning of April, public transportation has become more expensive in Berlin and Brandenburg. Find out how much ticket prices have increased
Starting April 1, fares in Berlin and Brandenburg have increased. According to the Berliner Morgenpost, the price increase applies to U-Bahn, S-Bahn, buses and trams. This decision was made due to rising fuel and energy costs.
New ticket prices
All types of tickets and monthly passes have risen in price. Check out the new prices:
• Single tickets will cost €3.20;
• short-term tickets - €2.20;
• single ticket for the ABC zone - €4;
• a ticket for four trips - €10;
• a daily ticket in AB zones - €9.50;
• monthly travel card - €66.90.
The cost of transporting bicycles has also changed - from now on, it will cost €2.20.

A single travel ticket for €49 will also be available in Germany
The favorable travel ticket will be valid from May this year, but you can buy it now.
It should be added that the ticket can be used in all modes of transport except high-speed trains. The peculiarity of the ticket is its electronic format and validity period of one month.
The ticket can be purchased on the bahn.de website, in the DB Navigator app, and at transportation company offices.
The local authorities emphasized that 49 euros is the initial price, which may increase next year. Read more about the discounted ticket here.
