New validity of COVID certificates in Ukraine

The validity of COVID-certificates of full vaccination in Ukraine has been reduced from 365 to 270 days.

Relevant changes were made on January 19, 2022 to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №677. The new term applies to all document types:

▪️ internal;

▪️ foreign;

▪️ international.

They will be valid for 9 months and will be calculated from the moment the person receives the second dose of vaccination.

Anyone who has received a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine will be able to generate a new certificate in the Diia application in late January. It will also be valid for 270 days.

It will be recalled that in late December the European Union approved a reduction in the validity of the vaccination certificate. Thus, from February 1, 2022, proof of completion of the full course of vaccination will be valid for 9 months (270 days). An additional, "booster" dose of the vaccine may prolong its duration.

Some countries have already shortened vaccination documents. For example, Austria was the first to set a 9-month deadline, and Montenegro approved a vaccination certificate for only 6 months.
